On 25 September 2026, five Portuguese cities will simultaneously bring forward the celebration of the European Cancer Literacy Day in the European Researchers’ Night, taking advantage of this moment of interaction between science and citizens to promote activities that raise awareness of cancer prevention and early detection.
The different events which will be carried out in Aveiro, Braga, Coimbra, Lisbon and Porto are organised by the University of Aveiro, the National Health Institute Doutor Ricardo Jorge and SHINE 2Europe, all partners of the CURTAIN project.
Several cancer literacy interactive activities will be available to promote cancer literacy and disseminate the cancer literacy day, such as interactive games, quizzes and activities for different audiences.
